Eat Good. Feel Good. Do Good.

About Us

Our little slice of heaven is our 20-acre farm in Jensen, Utah where we raise our three beautiful children, an assortment of farm animals, and a wide variety of chemical-free fruits and vegetables in our acre and a half market garden.

For years, our family struggled with various health problems, and when conventional methods did not have the answers, we turned to a real food diet using traditional cooking methods. Finally we found the relief we had been seeking!

This experience taught us the power and value of good food and proper nutrition. Combining all we have learned about whole body health, a love of gardening and a family heritage of agriculture, Heritage Family Gardens was born.

We know from experience that when you eat well, you feel good. And when you feel good, you can do amazing things!

What do We Grow ?

Growing fruits and vegetables naturally makes sense. When grown properly, people actually enjoy eating their vegetables! Fruits and vegetables that are grown naturally in healthy soils, without chemicals, while being allowed to fully ripen on the plant, taste wonderful and are also far more nutritious than their factory farmed counterparts.

We are chemical-free, which means we don't use any pesticides, herbicides, or any –cides of any kind. We also don't use any chemical fertilizers. We use Guinea Fowl, Diatomaceous Earth, ladybugs and beneficial nematodes for natural pest control.

We grow everything from Arugula to Zucchini including 37 different vegetable varieties and 8 different herbs. In addition to growing many different varieties of familiar favorites, we love experimenting with new varieties and different types of crops. In addition to our garden, we raise free-range chickens for farm fresh and super nutritious eggs.

Why We Grow

  • Health

We’re passionate about tasty and nutritious food! We believe that a short time and distance from harvest to table is ideal. We also believe in growing healthy soils with a plethora of micro-nutrients, without using anything chemical or toxic.

  • Community

We love and want to serve our local community! Supporting local businesses helps the local economy by keeping your hard earned money right here in the Basin.

  • Family

We value the family! As such we wanted to create a family business that our children could grow up with, helping and working along side us, all the while learning and gaining valuable life skills to aid them in their future enterprising endeavors.

  • Self-sufficiency

Growing your own food is an art! We wanted those skills as well as the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what we are feeding our children, and the confidence of knowing that we can grow and produce food for our family's health and benefit.

  • Education

Along with the paradigm shift of diet came new ideas towards education. We homeschool our children using A Thomas Jefferson Education, a leadership education model. Our farm provides 20 acres of classroom to educate ourselves as well as mentor our children in their educations.

  • Service

We know from sweet experience that true joy comes through serving others! So we seek to build community and serve our friends, neighbors and the farmers we partner with through our efforts to provide local food to our community.

  • Freedom

We're passionate about freedom! The kind of freedom that comes from strong health, a clear mind and the ability to work and provide for yourself.

  • Agriculture

We want to awaken and encourage a love of agriculture! We have found so much joy in returning to the land and have learned that as we are honest and wise stewards of the land, the land will bring forth plentifully to care of us.

The best way to buy our produce is through our Farm Share program or CSA (more info below), however we do offer a limited amount of produce for sale outside of that. Our harvesting days are Wednesdays and Thursdays, so if you want to place an order, please contact us and we can harvest for you too! If you're looking for bulk quantities of produce for preservation, please contact us for availability and pricing.

A weekly box of chemical-free produce with option to include other locally produced farm-fresh foods!

Always fresh! Locally grown and raised! All natural! No chemicals!

You customize what’s in your box each week!

When you purchase a farm share box and join our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) you become a member of our farm-ily! Members of our CSA buy a "share" in the farm and receive a "box" of produce and other farm foods on a weekly basis. We've teamed up with other Basin farmers to make Heritage Family Gardens CSA a one-stop shop for locally grown and produced foods.

Heritage Family Gardens CSA is a market-style CSA! Using Harvie, our CSA software, you have the option each week to customize your farm share box and choose which fruits and vegetables you’ll be getting. No surprises, no odd produce, you choose what you want. Plus, you can add several other locally grown and produced items as well!
